Manchester Manchester is a relatively new city. It was born of the Industrial Revolution when it came to the forefront of world textile manufacture and production, a position it held until the 1960s. It is a vibrant dynamic city, one of the largest metropolitan conurbations in the United Kingdom, proud of its history and heritage, its culture and its entrepreneurial spirit. In more recent times, it has had to reconfigure its traditional manufacturing base to develop thriving new technologies.

The DLC of 2006 will be held at the beautiful Palace Hotel in the centre of the city.

Delegates are expected to spend at least three nights in the hotel, that is to arrive on Thursday and depart on Sunday.

Manchester is a big city and it is very accesible from all international destinations by air and it has an excellent public transport system as well.

Feel free to come earlier or depart later if you wish to take some vacation time (with a spouse or partner) and explore the greater Manchester area of England and experience the friendliness of the North of England people.
